The Arc of Southington has been a residential service provider for over thirty years. Currently, under contract with the CT Department of Developmental Services, the agency operates seven licensed group homes – three are in Southington, two in Cheshire and two in Wallingford.
We also operate three Community Residential Support (CRS) programs in New Britain, Meriden, and Hamden. These programs are similar to a 24-hour Individualized Home Support (IHS).
The Arc of Southington provides Individualized Home Support (IHS) services. For more than two decades we have been supporting individuals in their own homes in Southington, Plantsville, and Bristol. Individuals in IHS programs sign their own leases and direct the support they need.
Individualized Non-Vocational Day Support
The Arc of Southington provides day time support on an individualized basis tailored to our individuals’ specific needs and personal goals. Currently we support retirees, people who work or volunteer in the community, and individuals who choose buy ambien in china other day time activities. Many activities revolve around socialization with friends and engaging with people in the local community. We also provide non-vocational day supports that are tailored to our individuals who cannot participate in a traditional day program. Our day programs are geared toward full inclusion in the community.
Individualized Home Support (IHS)
The Arc of Southington is a vendor for the CT Department of Developmental Services, which encompasses personal support, day support options, and providing the means to help our individuals develop their maximum level of independence in the activities of daily living. All supports are individually developed in accordance with personal preferences, needs, and goals. For example, individuals will learn the skills to live independently or to access and become fully included in their communities. Individualized Home Support involves more comprehensive services than typical Day Support.
