The month of April is Sexual Abuse and Prevention Awareness. The Arc of Southington is teaming up with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to support their DDS Awareness Campaign. The campaign’s goal is to spread the word about Sexual Abuse Prevention and Awareness against individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).
Please join us in taking action to “spread the word” to individuals, staff, family, and friends to empower people with ID/DD to prevent, intervene and bring awareness of sexual abuse and/or assault. Also, be on the lookout for the hashtag #itsnotokCT in social media outlets as a way to bring awareness.
