Our Board of Directors is a diverse group of family members of people with intellectual disabilities, professionals, advocates, self-advocates, and business leaders all of whom are deeply committed to our mission.

Consider joining our Board of Directors.
The term for Directors is three years. The term for Officers of the Board is one year, with most officers serving at least two terms. Elections are held at the annual meeting in June for the Directors and Officers. The maximum number that can serve on the Board of Directors is 15. The President of the Board of Directors can appoint up to three Directors to vacant positions. The Arc of Southington strongly encourages self-advocates to participate on the Board of so that there is a direct voice from our constituency.
The Board of Directors meets monthly, from September through June.
Board Committees include: Finance, Personnel, Membership, Strategic Planning, Dinner Dance and Fundraising. Other committees are formed as necessary for specific purposes.
